Love is a Many Splendored Thing

Some of you may remember this song from 1955. As the Lord brought that song to mind, I began to meditate on it and remembered that love is the greatest power in the universe! Yes, God’s love is truly a splendid thing, and He orchestrates our lives in such a wonderful way to give us the power to show love and kindness to others.

While eating out with some friends at Cracker Barrel, the Lord drew my attention to one of the waitresses who looked very sad. I pulled some cash out of my pocket and asked the manager if I could help her. After giving her the cash, we found out that she was about to have her electricity cut off! Everyone sitting with me at the table then chipped in more to help her. As you can imagine, she was so blessed because what we had given her was more than enough to pay the bill, plus some. We were so thankful we were led by Holy Spirit to be a blessing to a hurting and needful person.

Ask the Holy Spirit to order your steps to be the practical expression of God’s love to others!

Yours in Christ,
