It’s A New Day!

God in His infinite wisdom has given us 24 hours a day to move past our mistakes, regrets, and sorrows, as well as savor our many blessings. Scripture says that in Christ, “Old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17). We are admonished not to let things of the past ruin today and tomorrow: “Let the dead bury their dead” (Luke 9:60).

It is amazing how many bad things don’t seem so bad the next day! At that time, we can praise and give thanks for our blessings. As we do this we activate our faith to overcome the past!

I am often reminded to sing a song we sang many years ago in our Full Gospel Businessmen’s Fellowship meetings.

“This is the day, this is the day that the Lord has made, that the Lord has made. We will rejoice, we will rejoice and be glad in it, and be glad in it” (Matthew 5:12).

So, each morning, ask the Holy Spirit to activate your faith for the “new day” and watch how the Lord orchestrates your path of life into new joy and success!

Yours in Christ,
