Call In That Job!

While talking with several people in the last few days, a constant theme began to emerge. Many people are out of work! I remember in my own life the pain of being out of work. The situation was particularly difficult because that season went on for a long time. My heart really goes out to you if you are in that situation. In fact, as I am writing this, I sense your pain and empathize with you.

The Word tells us in 1 Chron 21:1-4 and 2 Sam 24:1-4 that the Lord rebuked David because he was trusting in the size of his army instead of trusting the Lord. During the time I was looking for a job, I was meditating on this story. The Lord revealed to me that I did the same thing. When I was out of work, I looked at our finances, and my mind fearfully anticipated loss and decrease. The Lord showed me that I was not trusting in Him to provide what we needed. Therefore, I pray for each one of you in this way:

Father in the name of Jesus, we know that You made work and whatever you do is done in excellence. So, we determine to put our trust in you, knowing you have just the right job for us. You have a job that is challenging, fulfilling and profitable. We know that your Word says you are able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all we can ask or think. Therefore, by faith, we decree and believe that you have us on the right path for that new position.

Yours in Christ,
