A Look Out the Window

I can look out the window from my desk. At this time of the year, I see beautiful trees changing colors to red and gold. The old leaves change colors and fall to the ground, making room for new life to come forth in the spring. The trees remind me that changing seasons are so important. How dull life would be without the ebb and flow of change!

We are being prepared for the new season that the Lord has for us. We are a little wiser, a little smarter, a little more tolerant, a little more forgiving. I remember a cute saying that fits this situation. “Wisdom comes with age, but sometimes age comes by itself." God has an ample supply of wisdom to release to His people for the new season.

Wisdom is needed for old life patterns to change and make room for the new. These patterns may include discouragement, lack of planning or loss of vision. You may want to start your season of change by singing this old song: “This is the day that the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it.” It is times like this that we feel closer to the Lord and begin entering His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with Praise. In the Presence of the Lord, we are prepared for the new season of our life!

Yours in Christ,
