Adventures In Prayer

Updated: Feb 12, 2019

I really enjoy watching movies because the good ones tell stories that are funny, fascinating, and overall very entertaining.  I enjoy the story-telling aspect, and usually come away with some new lesson for life.  They are, however, usually all fiction!  As I was pondering this, the Lord said to me that He would allow me to walk through real-life situations that would bless and encourage my readers.

Just recently, I participated on a ministry team and began to enter into something wonderful. As I was praying with a person, the Love of God would well up in me. I remembered the Word where it says, "...the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by The Holy Spirit...."  So as I was praying in the Spirit, I began feeling the presence of The Lord flowing out of me into the other person.  It felt like the women with the issue of blood. As she touched the hem of His garment, He said: “Who touched me? I felt virtue flow out of me." Sometimes I would receive a Word of Knowledge or a prophetic word for that person. Often the person receiving the word thanked me for praying for them, telling me it was exactly where they were and the word blessed them.

Real-life situations are so much better than fiction.  By allowing the Lord to use you to pray for and encourage others, life takes on a whole new adventure!  It is exciting to see how the Lord can intervene in someone's life and set their feet on a new path and be encouraged to advance.  Allow the Lord to move through you to touch others, and live the real-life adventure!

Yours in Christ,
